What chemicals are in your hair products?

We all know what chemicals we shouldn’t put in our bodies. There are many articles in the news about high fructose corn syrup, artificial dyes, saturated fats, and artificial sweeteners. And walking down the aisle at the grocery store will show you that food manufacturers are taking note. Everything now is “organic” or “all natural” and many are free of artificial dyes and sweeteners. But how often do you think about the chemicals that you’re using on your body every single day?

Your biggest organ is your skin. And every day you use multiple chemicals on it – body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hair spray, mousse, makeup, deodorant, lotion, perfume, laundry detergent, fabric softener…the list goes on and on. Did you know that it only takes 26 seconds for the chemicals you use on your body to be absorbed into your bloodstream?
